Well, I'm a recent Apple convert. I've been using Windows oh too long. I finally decided to switch. Let me tell you this: It wasn't easy. Using Windows since the 3.1 days, I still have to get used to a couple things.
Even to a new apple person, this blackmac was by far my favorite laptop. Mac OS X is so fast and the application open instantly. The interface is very easy to use, and the laptop itself is amazing. Equiped with the Core 2 Duo, it's just an amazing sight.
The actuall laptop itself is so sleek and light. At just 1.08 inches, it can be carried anywhere with you. Also I really like the 13.3 glossy display.
Now I only have a few complaints on this dreambook. One, its not cheap. It starts at $1099. However I got the Black one at $1499 and I also got 2GB RAM bringing this at $1650. Also for this prices, I think the card could be upgraded a little bit. I'd settle for maybe something like a GO 6100/6150 or a 7100/7150. Or maybe the GMA X3100.
However, dont let these run you down unless your a gamer. Then I'd push you towards the Macbook Pro.

Pros: Very portable, good battery life, OS X, durable, glossy screen
Cons: short apple support, graphics card, a little pricey

Lightweight, fast, attractive and most of all equipped with the Mac OS. What more could you ask for in a laptop.. After using it for about a month and being a long time mac user I can tell you, you won't be let down by this machine.. Oh did I mention the 802N wireless card and the no glare screen!

Pros: what more could you ask for
Cons: none that I can see

There is nothing worth complaining about really. I use it for class and it yet has to let me down. There are ways around just everything, and plenty of information on the web to help you out.
The only real things i can remotely complain about is the graphics card, but even then, it falls short for gaming purposes. The heat is something i have experienced with just about all laptops i've owned...and i can only say this is a great machine. kudos to apple!
-Suggestions, EXTENDED WARRANTY. covers just about anything from a-z...and a hair cut. you'll need to look as good as it does

This is my second MacBook and all I have to say is that this is my last MacBook. They are great computers but the whole outside of the laptop keeps chipping.

I'm on my third battery for my macbook...and I just purchased the laptop in July 08. It will not charge when plugged in, and once the battery dies, it's done for. Apple thought it was a battery problem, but after 3 batteries, I sure don't think so. They finally decided to take back the laptop for service today. We'll see if it works when I get it back.

This is my ninth or tenth Mac. Once I started on Macs, I gave up on other PCs. Apple has put all their knowledge into the new laptops and they are great. As an artist, I love the graphics ability. As a Mac person, I appreciate the fact that I can use the new MacBook without having to figure out what to do, no manual reading for me. Great response immediately. It is lightweight, beautiful, easy to use, and the battery is a new long life one. My friends all want one. Macs are the real plug and play machines.
Cons: I miss having the old built-in AppleWorks...had to buy all new programs for this one. Other than that - there are no cons.
This is THE ONE! Face it, any of the Apple Macs will outdo any other PC. Just get the best you can afford and you'll be happy with your Mac. I've been sold on Macs since I bought my first one, the old 128K Macintosh, in 1984 -- and never looked back. Thank goodness I don't have to use the buggy Microsoft programs.
