This laptop has got to be one of my favorites. The Macbook pro's now have an even faster processor and better graphics cards, which make all your games move faster and look better. I'm going into college this fall and this is definitely something I can grow into. I'm going to be pursuing a photography major and Apples are generally the industry standard for Arts.
My previous laptop was a Dell which was slowly on its way to its deathbed and didn't have much time left so this upgrade is a major improvement. This macbook has just about everything you need and then some. They give you trials of .Mac and aperture. Apple's standard warranty is also very good, but I recommend Applecare because that extends the warranty for three years, and problems usually occur after one or two.
The downside that I have found is battery life. I recommend turning the LCD brightness all the way down because it decreases the lifespan so much. This laptop is a great buy though for anyone getting into the arts or other field.
Pros: Speed, ease of use, graphics
Cons: battery life can be low, cost.

I recently purchased a 17" Mac Book Pro. All I can say is "WOW". This is a great computer. I use it for video editing with Final Cut Pro and it does an amazing job. I have 4 GB of memory and the 2.4 gHz Processor so I have plenty of power to do things. I'm not that happy with the battery life and it does weigh a bit so that makes it a bit cumbersom to carry around. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone interested in Mac Computers
Pros: Powerful, Display, Options
Cons: Price, Weight, Battery Life

Bought my MacBook Pro 17" a little over two moths ago and it still blows my mind what I can do on it. The included software does quite a bit and its not like the included software that comes on a new dell or HP, you can and probably will actually use the included software instead of just deleting it. The CPU is extremely fast. I can run XP in Parallels Desktop faster than my AMD Opteron.

I ordered mine with the High resolution LCD (1920 x 1200) and its incredible. iTunes videos look great, and front row is a great way to take your home theater on the road with you when are on the road. The lighted keyboard is a nice touch. The sound from the speakers is the best I have heard from a laptop and rivals my executive stereo system in sound quality.

my previous mac an iBook G3 lasted more than seven years, actually it still works, just would not run all the things that I want to run... I can only hope that this one works just as long.
Pros: fast, capable, runs XP also...
Cons: None so far.

I own a Display Company and work in Graphic Arts everyday. I couldn't do my job without my MacBook Pro... Apple has done it again... and again. I couldn't begin to explain why anyone still uses PC. Ease of use, lightning quick processing... cool factor... What's not to love.....

See you at the Apple Store!
Pros: Everything...
Cons: Nothing...

As all of you probebly know, .Mac has (personally) the best computers around. When I heard this was coming out, I saved up for it...my job as a teacher, who's school is very high-tech, I wanted to have a nice computer, for my days.

As any normal Mac/Apple computer has, it has many magnificent easy-to-get-to features. I was totally excited when I saw everything.

The screen? Very beautiful and bright. I recently went on a cruise and took photos and looked at them on my laptop, beautiful. The huge screen and bright colors...amazing.

Being a teacher, I needed to get to things fast. (ie Word, internet, etc.) I wanted a laptop to do that. And I did...WOW!

This computer is one of my all time favorites-AMAZING!

~Alana
Pros: Amazing features, beautiful screen, totally worth it.
Cons: Battery life (I need it to last about 10 hours, I'm a teacher.).

I love this computer. I live in Costa Rica now and cannot do without it. I highly recommend it. the 15" is quite suitable for my purposes and with extra memory I cannot lose. Security is excellent. Auto backups are perfect. there is nothing I don't like about this computer.

Pros: light, includes, cam and dvd player

Keep up the great work on designing state of the art lap top computers for the professional photographer. Color profiles are accurate for the commercial products, events and executive portraits I create.
